John Calihan


With thirty years of society, institutional and event catering experience, John's network of knowledge, resources and people create energy for unique one of a kind events is unique. Working with the most discerning clientele such as Cartier, the City of Chicago, and Marshall Field's, he understands the cultural code and etiquette to effortlessly create and navigate the most memorable events.

Nitin Vyas


With eighteen years of experience in catering, Nit has a grasp on both site logistics and operations that is detailed and thorough. Nit has most recently concentrated on events at the Chicago Botanic Garden and Lincoln Park Zoo events, and is therefore extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of an outdoor event. Having worked behind the scenes in operation before becoming a sales representative, he brings an added view of Chicago venues and events to the table.

Pam Swisher


Pam Swisher has over 15 years of experience in the food and beverage service industry. Having lived in Chicago's downtown area all of her life, she brings a knowledge of the city's areas into focus for her clients. Having raised four children of her own, she imparts a calm and organized demeanor during the somewhat chaotic world of planning an event. Pam's focus is on weddings and social events. With her experience and expertise in both larger and smaller parties, she creates only the most memorable of events.

Cate Kaczala


Cate Kaczala started in the food and beverage industry over 19 years ago. She has worked in all aspects of the industry from restaurant manager to director of food and beverage. Her career is marked by a relationship with catering. She now focuses her attention on long term corporate clients here at Calihan Catering. She works on a daily basis with our corporate accounts, helping to serve the individual needs of our daily contractual catering.
