"Our Town's Newest Bridge"
Calihan Catering was on board to open up Chicago's newest treasure, Millennium Park. The party was held on the new stage designed by architect Frank Ghery and was planned by Cartier as a "thank you" to donors who had pledged over $1 million dollars to the project.

The crowd gathered to witness the ribbon cutting of the Ghery Bridge, after which the architect and the mayor led the group into the choral room (known as The Green Room) for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner on the stage followed with a menu of lobster salad, tenderloin of beef and an Earl Grey chocolate tart for dessert. Dessert dazzled the attendees almost as much as the sight of the three story tall glass doors of the stage opening onto the night skyline view of the city. Guests then mingled under the stars.

"Cheers for Calihans!" Chicago Sun Times, 5/24.
