In addition to planning social events for prominent Chicago families, Calihan has created special events for a host of corporate clientele, including Ameritech, Boeing, Bon Appétit, Cartier, Christie's, Gucci, J. Walter Thompson, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Northwestern University, Playboy, Quaker Oats, and many others.

Among gala opening events: Banana Republic, Barney's New York, Chicago Title and Trust, the new Goodman Theatre, Museum of Contemporary Art, Nordstrom's, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Pottery Barn, Prada, University of Chicago Duchossois Center, Viacom, Virgin Megastore, Harold Washington Library, and Ermenegildo Zegna.
